St Richard’s Pool
St Richard’s Pool, part of St Richard’s School in Ham is where the majority of our foundation lessons take place. We operate from this pool after school on Monday – Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday. We also run our intensive holiday courses at this pool, as well as our adult lessons. Maximum group size of 3 children with an engaging and passionate tutor will mean your child will receive excellent tuition on the start of their swimming journey.
Foundation swimmers: i.e. children over 3 years of age who cannot yet swim 5m on front and back crawl with good technique and correct breathing technique on front crawl. Click here for more details

- Description: Warm learner pool 5m X 10m with shallow ends and a deeper section of 0.9 metres.
- Changing facilities: Two large communal changing rooms with showers.
- Tutor Ratio: 3 tutors in the water with a maximum of THREE children each, grouped according to ability.
- Parents: accompany children into the changing areas and wait on poolside very close to where children are swimming.
The pool entrance is not in the same road as St Richard’s school reception.

Parking: There is plenty of on-road parking near the pool entrance. Please park considerately and not outside people’s homes who live nearby. There is lots of parking alongside the school playing fields, or in the car park beside Tesco Express on Ashburnham Road.
